Dovenby cottage provides the very latest in luxury
accommodation and facilities. Designed with a holiday break in mind you will find the layout conducive to relaxation. The following facilities are available:
Open Plan Kitchen, Dining, Lounge Area
This is a lovely room with period features. It has a vaulted ceiling, open fire and oak beams and provides a relaxing setting for cooking, eating, watching tv, or snuggling up by the fire. Facilities include:
Electric oven, hob, microwave, washing machine & air dryer, fridge freezer, dishwasher, dining table & chairs, flat screen TV,IPOD dock & speakers, sofa(bed), open fire, with tools, logs, kindling, etc. (in colder months),books, maps, guides & other information, multitude of kitchen appliances & utensils, inc. high spec toaster, kettle, etc.
Bathroom
The wetroom is a stunning mix of traditional furniture and features and modern luxury. Encased in natural marble stone you will find a double-ended cast iron bath, large shower area and features such as recessed lighting and a de-mister mirror. High quality toiletries are provided, as are all of the basics, such as a heated towel rail, wc, basin and shaver point.
Bedroom
The oak beams and chandelier tower above 6ft wide superking bed (twin optional) where you can relax in 400 thread egyptian cotton sheets and a duck down duvet (microfibre available). A top of the range smart TV hangs discretely on the wall and the seclusion and cosiness is amplified by both wooden venetian blinds and grogeous silk roman blinds.
Practical needs are catered for with a double wardrobe, chest of drawers, full length mirror, bedside tables with lights and a hairdryer. A travel cot can be provided on request.
Outside
Access to a large patio area and small garden. An outside table and up to 4 chairs are provided, as well as a charcoal bbq. There is also access to a gas bbq upon request should you find this more convenient.
General
The property has an ironing board and iron and air-drying facilities, in addition to the washer-dryer. The entire interior is heated via the very latest underfloor heating, which can be controlled by room. Free wi-fi is available.
Anything else I need to know?
To avoid you having to bring the kitchen sink from home, you will find
the kitchen stocked with all basic cleaning materials, as well as tea, coffee, tea towels, etc. Should you forget anything then just knock on the door and we’ll help out. Also, the village shop is less than a minute walk away.
The cottage will be left in perfect condition and with some helpful information, but if there is anything at all you need please don't hesitate to let us know.
